Book Clubs

Online Resources

ReadingGroupGuides - "The online community for reading groups." This is a great website with more than 3,000 reading group guides. Many are pulled from the publisher's websites. Others are written specifically for this website.

Reading Group Choices - This website overlaps some with ReadingGroupGuides, but it often has supplemental material such as videos and podcasts. They also make recommendations and publish a print booklet of book club choices with questions each year.

BookBrowse - BookBrowse also has reading guides for book clubs. Many of them include suggestions for further reading. They also have some great advice for running a book club. BookBrowse has a lot of content that requires a paid membership, including an "Invite the author" section and the ability to browse for books by theme, time period, setting, etc.

Book Club in a Bag

Do you have your own book club? Are you tired of hunting for books? Check out one of our Book Club in a Bag kits. Each kit contains 10 copies of one book with discussion questions. They can be checked out for 8 weeks. For a list of available titles, use the library catalog to do a Subject Browse for Book Club in a Bag.

Library Book Club

Books and Beyond usually meets the third Wednesday of the month at 10:00 a.m. They discuss a different book each month. For titles and meeting dates for the book club, please visit the library website.
